The Dongan Hills branch of The New York Public Library is a modern, air-conditioned, one-story branch located on Staten Island. The library — which houses nearly 45,000 books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs, and other materials — occupied a rented storefront on Richmond Road from 1957 to 1974. It moved to its present location in the spring of 1975 and was renovated in 2008.
